Marc I. Eida has joined PorzioLS as a Compliance Associate. Mr. Eida counsels life sciences companies on a variety of compliance issues, including federal and state fraud and abuse laws, FDA promotional regulations, industry standards regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, and sampling requirements. He also collaborates on new products and services utilizing the existing business structure to expand the suite of compliance and regulatory services offered.
Additionally, Mr. Eida is an associate of Porzio, Bromberg & Newman, P.C. and a member of the firm’s Life Sciences Compliance, Commercialization and Regulatory Counseling Department. In his capacity with the law firm, Mr. Eida assists in the development of compliance programs for companies governing the sale and marketing of drugs and devices and the distribution of samples under federal and state law.
As the former Assistant District Attorney of Bronx County (Bronx, NY), Mr. Eida successfully wrote and argued several direct appeals in the Appellate Division, First Department and the Court of Appeals, responded to post-conviction motions to set aside verdicts, and answered state and federal habeas corpus petitions. He served in the Felony Trial Bureau from September 2007 until November 2013, when he joined the Appeals Bureau.
Mr. Eida earned his Juris Doctor from George Washington University in Washington, DC, and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University in Economics. He is based in the PorzioLS Morristown, NJ office.
