Nevada Department of Health and Human Services Extends Deadline For Essential Drug Report to April 16, 2020

April 09, 2020

On April 6, 2020, the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services ("Department") issued a notice (available here) granting an extension to the April 1 deadline for Essential Diabetes and Asthma Reports. According to the notice, the Department recognizes how the COVID-19 pandemic is affecting the ability of companies to meet deadlines. The deadline for submitting reports this year is April 16, 2020.

Previously, on March 24, 2020, the Department published an amended Diabetes and Asthma Essential Drug list. According to a notice from the Department, the 2020 Essential Drug List was revised to remove drugs that were not FDA-approved to treat diabetes or asthma. The amended list can be found here.

The Department has provided templates for reporting on its website. The standardized form includes all the fields required by law. Template headings should not be rearranged or changed. All values should be reported at the national level.
